Website creation

Process of my website creation desktop version

In my previous blog post I have started working on designing my own website. For designing my website I'm using Wix online software. In my website I will showcase my portfolio of work from 2D & 3D classes from term 1. In this post I will show what I have designed for my site on the desktop version of Wix.

When your open your Wix website you can see that there are two toolbars: one on the left and other one on the right side of the screen. The right side is the navigation bar where you can see:

  1. 'Menus & Pages'
  2. '+' is for adding images, buttons, texts..
  3. 'Add Apps' market is for adding apps and social networks
  4. 'My Uploads'
  5. 'Bookings' is for adding appointments, calendars..
  6. 'Start blogging'

Portfolio Page

In Portfolio page I will showcase my work of 2D & 3D Projects from term 1. I chose layout witch is divided 3x3 - meaning 3 images in one row and 3 images in one column and this particular style is known as 'Rule of thirds'.  But it's going to stay work in progress until the very end.
When you look at my website it is clearly visible that everything is in linear order and in strict symmetry and that flow is flowing through whole page.

  1. The design works well for your continuation route and is clean and clear. Remember that this is for your Digital Arts work only though - 2D 3D work shouldn't be added as that is marked in another module.

  2. I agree with Carrie. I'd add that your subtitling of images and the overall design is helped by your careful 'signposting'. Ask me for support with the typography.
