Advertising Project Initial Idea & Creation
We discussed in our group our idea for an advertising project and as our group were all interior designers we thought about creating a designs for nurseries (for children). Our initial ideas creating a crib in the shape of hands.
This poem also inspired us to create this design as it has the sentiment that we wanted to show in the advertisement.
Above please our initial ideas sketched out and we took some photographs to show how we wanted the design to look.
We then looked at the colour palettes and chose the colours we would use in the final design.
We then decided that we would created a hand drawn and coloured design and we would digitise this for our project. We added the design to Photoshop to edit and add final text as a tagline.
We all participated in adding drawings and ideas so that we would have choices when we created the final design. We then photographed these and added them to Photoshop.
We started by centring the image using the Crop tool to get rid of rough edges. The final piece we adjusted the brightness/contrast, hue/saturation, and levels to ensure that the colours were correct for publication.
We used Illustrator to create the text and the design of the text. We chose the colour and the font and once this had been completed we saved this text and added onto the Photoshop image to finalise our work.
Final Piece & Reflection
This is our final advert, I don't know where in the real world this would fit I as I think that after investigating market I feel that it is not as a contemporary as it should be as it was hand drawn and I feel it should have been a more sophisticated using perhaps real photography or 3D Digital rendering. However in we had good ideas and the concept works but using the software would have been too large a leap at this stage in our digital work and would have taken too much time to do.

As a group work this shows your creative journey and you have included the basic tools you've used to edit this in photoshop. Your reflection is good as you have identified how you could make the final piece better. Try to add more commentary like this on your major project design process and you will have some good in-depth posts.
